The 6th Annual Michigan Hoop Dance Retreat
MHDR connects hoopers from all over Michigan and in the Midwest
for a weekend of flow, fun, and family.
Something For Everyone!
MHDR is a full weekend of hoops, flow, and fun. The weekend kicks off on Friday night with a welcome meeting and general hoop shenanigans. Workshops run throughout the weekend and are the core of MHDR, so plan on spending at least a few hours each day exploring and playing with your hoop. On Friday and Saturday evening, we’ll have a fire circle, LED jam, and community bonfire. And then on Saturday we’ll host our annual showcase.
Everyone takes a little extra time moving on Sunday morning, so we start with a group potluck breakfast to enjoy a little relaxation and getting to know each other. You then have the option to attend more workshops, before packing up and heading home.
Throughout the weekend you’l meet hoopers from all over the state (and beyond!), learn dozens of new tricks, and see things you’ve never seen before. Each year, attendees are stunned by the little surprises, bits of play, and the wonder that is found at MHDR.
Bring a friend or come by yourself. Either way, just be here for the best weekend of the summer.
Join us for MHDR2021 and experience it for yourself.
